The Nite Owl & The Back Room are two very unique restaurants offered together in one convenient package. The two restaurants share many commonalities; they both share the same building and have been owned by the same family for the last 30 years; they both offer some of the friendliest wait staff in northwest Montana; they are both considered favorite dining spots to the area locals; and they both offer up some of the most tasty and hearty, family-style meals in the Glacier Area.
But don’t be too quick to try and lump these two restaurants together as being one venue, as they are both very unique in their own fashion as well.
The Nite Owl
Breakfast at the Nite Owl is the perfect way to start your day. The Nite Owl is located right along the main highway (Hwy 2) in Columbia Falls, Montana (the Gateway to Glacier National Park).
The Nite Owl has a country diner-style atmosphere and serves a delicious assortment of family-style meals for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The Nite Owls generous portions and friendly staff will make you feel right at home, and their reasonable prices will have you feeling satisfied and happy.
The Nite Owl offers daily specials throughout the week, and often hosts special events on Friday and Saturday evenings.
The Nite Owl is a family-owned restaurant and has been serving customers and making people happy from the same location for almost thirty years now, and it has become a beloved local favorite amongst the locals as well as a pleasant surprise to the many tourists that visit the area.

The Back Room
The Back Room Restaurant is connected to the Nite Owl and is located in the heart of Columbia Falls, Montana – The Gateway to Glacier Park!
The Back Room has developed a great reputation as being one of the finest places to find real home-style Barbeque ribs, delicious steaks, chicken and pork entrees. The Back Rooms ribs are slow-smoked on-site and they are as tender as they are flavorful. The Back Room also serves delicious locally-cut steak and Barbequed chicken.
Each meal is complimented with 'The Back Room trimmings' which consist of our one of a kind fry bread, baked beans, coleslaw and red potatoes.
We have a full liquor, beer and wine license with a great selection of 15 beers on tap. Our wine is stored in a brand new nitrogen system to assure each glass is fresh.
The Back Room is a place that the entire family is sure to enjoy. There are ample menu options which are sure to satisfy the appetite of ever member of the family.
During the summer you might enjoy eating your meal on the Back Rooms popular outside deck which offers a stunning view of Columbia Mountain and views through the legendary Badrock Canyon also known as the Glacier Gateway.
